How to apply

Selection Process

The next Eco-Minds Forum will be held in New Zealand from May 25 to May 30, 2009.
Young people from the following countries are eligible to apply: Australia, China, India, Indonesia, Korea, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore and Thailand.

The starting date for the registration process and the selection criteria vary from country to country. Further information about registration will be posted on this website shortly. If there are any questions about the registration process in individual countries, please contact your country.

All other participating countries will start their registration processes in due time.

Application Requirements

In general terms, the basic selection process for delegates to the Eco-Minds Forum will be as follows: (1) evaluation of entries, i.e. application form and essay; (2) short-listing of candidates; (3) interviews; (4) selection of national delegates.

Qualifications of Applicants

Must be a student from the disciplines natural sciences, engineering & technology, social sciences or commerce/management who is currently enrolled at a recognized tertiary institution (junior college, university or polytechnic)
Not older than 24 years
Should be actively involved or should have a strong interest in broadly scientific projects or issues focusing on environmental protection linked to the concept of Sustainable Development
Good oral and written English communication skills
Willing to travel overseas
Should be able to work well within a group
